Senator seeks action against TV channels

ISLAMABAD – Senator Hafiz Hamdullah has complained to electronic media regulator PEMRA against satellite television channels airing clips of models dancing and modeling in front of sacrificial animals.
The senator, who is the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, is seeking action against the channels.
He said in his complaint that airing such content undermined the sacred religious festival of Eid-ul-Azha.
PEMRA has forwarded his complaint to its Council of Complaints, Islamabad.
