Samaa news van attacked, no casualties
A Samaa Television news van was targeted by gunmen in Karachi's Liaquatabad area. Fortunately, there were no injuries as the crew was not present during the attack.

KARACHI: A Samaa Television news van was attacked Sunday by unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle. There were no casualties. According to reports the incident took place in Liaquatabad No 10 area. Police said the attackers fired five to six shots from close range. The crew was not in the van at the time of the attack. The vehicle's rear windscreen was damaged. The assailants made good their escape. The latest comes just 11 days after a similar strike on a Geo News van in Karachi killed technician Arshad Ali Jaffery and left the driver injured. In another targeted attack, journalist Aftab Alam was gunned down on September 9 in North Karachi.
