SAFMA Lahore office sealed
The SAFMA office in Lahore was sealed by the LDA on Tuesday despite a stay order from a civil court. Veteran journalist Imtiaz Alam represents SAFMA and is known for his critical stance against political intervention.

LAHORE - The South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) office was on Tuesday sealed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) despite a stay order by a civil court.

The Lahore High Court had ordered that LDA decide the case of the building's use and not to seal the property.

Veteran journalist Imtiaz Alam who represents SAFMA is a known critic of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf and is also against establishment’s intervention in civilian affairs.

He has been regularly criticizing the alleged rigging of the general elections in the program Report Card on Geo TV.
