ISLAMABAD – The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) has expressed concern over a slanderous social media campaign against senior Geo News journalist Talat Hussain.
In a meeting presided over by RIUJ President Mubarak Zeb Khan, the house demanded that those behind this dirty campaign be traced and punished.
Earlier, Talat informed the meeting on how he was being targeted. The meeting was concerned that if allowed to go unchecked, other journalists could also be trolled soon.
The meeting, besides the office-bearers of RIUJ, was also attended by Afzal Butt, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), senior journalists Nasir Malik, Muhammad Riaz, Hamid Mir and Kashif Abbasi.
