PESHAWAR – Gohar Wazir, a reporter arrested the other day in Bannu after he interviewed MNA Mohsin Dawar, and covered a protest by Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) has been set free.
His organization Khyber News quoting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai (pictured), said Wazir was released from jail after confirmation that he was a journalist on duty.
However, the minister was also quoted as saying that Wazir was chanting slogans during the PTM rally.
The minister was addressing a news conference in Peshawar on Wednesday.
