LAHORE: A crowd of protesters Tuesday attempted to gatecrash the offices of Geo Television in Lahore but police thwarted their bid.
According to reports, the protesters belonged to Sunni Tehreek, Sunni Ittehad Council, and Pakistan Awami Tehreek. They were protesting Geo's stance and allegations against the ISI in the aftermath of the attack on Geo presenter Hamid Mir. Eyewitnesses said the protesters came in trucks and vans and some on motorbikes. They blocked traffic and raised slogans against Geo.
The crowd tried to enter the premises but police resisted. The vehicles were diverted towards the Lahore Press Club.
