ISLAMABAD – On the eve of planned protests by affected BOL News employees, the media group said the process to clear off outstanding dues was underway.
BOL has yet to pay staff salaries from May 2015 to September 23, 2015.
In a statement, the group pointed to the “tragic phase” the channel had to go through for more than 15 months. It said the organization became inoperative because of a “malicious smear campaign which resulted in Saniha-e-Axact.”
This caused a “major financial crisis” and as a result, the management was unable to pay staff four-month salaries.
But it said now that BOL was back in operation, a committee constituted earlier, has formulated a process for settlement of dues along with profit.
“For these settlements, the affected employees are being asked to report to BOL headquarters to review their settlement package,” the statement said.
