Press Club polls schedule announced

ISLAMABAD: The committee tasked with holding the National Press Club polls Wednesday announced the election schedule. Nasir Zaidi, the committee’s chairman for the December 17 elections, announced the details following a meeting Wednesday. The members on the committee are Khalid Azeem, Zafar Qazi, Imran Naeem Ahmad and Rizwan Ehsan Ali.
Listed below is the schedule:
December 6-8: Filing of nomination papers (4:00pm-8:00pm)
December 9: Examining of nomination papers by candidates (4:00pm-8:00pm)
December 10: Scrutiny and display of initial list of candidates
December 11: Filing of objections (4:00pm-8:00pm)
December 12: Hearing of objections (4:00pm-8:00pm)/Display of provisional list of candidates (10:00pm)
December 13: Withdrawal of nomination papers (by 8:00pm)/Display of final list of candidates (10:00pm)
December 17: Election Day; polling time (10:00am-7:00pm).
The nomination papers will be available at the National Press Club, Islamabad from December 6-8 between 11:00am-8:00pm daily.
