ISLAMABAD – A day after Geo was served a show cause notice for airing a kiss, regulator PEMRA Thursday issued one to TVOne for a program host’s ‘objectionable’ dance with a girl in a morning show.
The dance went on air in the program Aap Ka Sahir, featuring the host Sahir Lodhi and a girl, whose name PEMRA did not mention.
The regulator said the host was doing such acts on a regular basis and a number of complaints had been received against him.
PEMRA said the scenes aired were a violation of its rules and regulations and the code of conduct for electronic media.
The channel has been given 14 days to submit its reply and explain why the program not be shut down or a fine of Rs1 million not be imposed or further still, the organization’s license not be suspended/cancelled.
