PEMRA notice to Urdu 1 for airing Indian content
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has taken action against Urdu 1 for airing Indian content. The channel must respond within three days to the issued notice.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Monday issued a show-cause notice to Urdu 1 TV for airing Indian content.

The regulator sought a reply from the organization within three days.

A media release said the channel had violated PEMRA decision of October 19, 2016 that barred airing of Indian content.

The organization’s CEO has been asked to appear for a hearing on July 6.
