ISLAMABAD – TV One was Monday fined Rs1 million for airing indecent and obscene content on March 14.
Regulator PEMRA that slapped the fine said the channel had submitted a written reply to its show-cause notice issued on March 15.
The channel was found to have violated several clauses of PEMRA rules and regulations, and the code of conduct for electronic media.
TV One aired the objectionable content in the program ‘Aap k Sahir’.
PEMRA warned the channel to be vigilant while conceptualizing and airing its morning show.
