PEMRA directs KTN Entertainment to air apology for airing indecent content
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has mandated KTN Entertainment to apologize on-air for airing indecent content in its dramas. This decision follows a violation of media conduct codes identified in two serials that aired in July.

ISLAMABAD – Electronic media watchdog PEMRA Friday directed KTN Entertainment to air an apology for airing indecent content in two different drama serials last month.

The objectionable content was shown in the serials Maari and Dou Moum Batian on July 6 and 10 respectively, a PEMRA media release said.

PEMRA had issued a show-cause notice to KTN Entertainment on July 17.

After hearing the channel’s representative and examining their written reply, it was found it had violated several clauses of PEMRA Ordinance and the Electronic Media Code of Conduct.

PEMRA has directed KTN Entertainment to air the apology on August 7 during prime time and to remain vigilant in future.
