Nazir Naji to be Group Editor at Dunya

ISLAMABAD: Senior columnist Nazir Naji has joined Dunya Group’s soon to be launched Urdu newspaper Roznama Dunya as Group Editor.

Nazir who writes frequently for Daily Jang, brings with him vast experience in journalism and is known for his in-depth political analysis.

The new newspaper is likely to hit the newsstands on September 1, initially from Lahore, insiders at Dunya tell JournalismPakistan.com.

In June, the group hired another senior journalist Amir Mir as the project head while last month columnist Haroon ur Rasheed was also reportedly signed up.

The Dunya Group that runs Dunya News TV also has plans to bring out an English daily for which Muhammad Malick has already been taken on board.
