LAHORE: Urdu-language newspaper Daily Nai Baat turned 1Thursday and was to celebrate its birthday by holding an excellence awards ceremony in Lahore.

According to Nai Baat, the ceremony will honor veteran journalist Majeed Nizami who will be presented the lifetime achievement award. The newspaper’s Chief Editor Chaudhry Abdul Rehman and Group Editor Ataur Rehman will present the award.

The paper said awards will also be given to staff-members and people from different walks of life excelling in their respective fields.
