Moeed Pirzada has made a career shift from Dunya News to Aaj TV, where he will introduce a new current affairs program. His departure follows a lack of new slot allocation amidst competitive pressures.

ISLAMABAD: Anchorperson and analyst Dr Moeed Pirzada has quit Dunya News and joined Aaj TV where he will start hosting a current affairs program soon. He was Editor Strategic Affairs at Dunya TV and was also hosting a current affairs program “Siyasat Ha Ya Sazish.” A source tells JournalismPakistan.com that Pirzada was under pressure to quit after Kamran Khan and Iftikhar Ahmad joined Dunya TV. “Pirzada was not allotted a new slot for his program; so he decided to leave,” he said. He said that Pirzada would start hosting his new program on Aaj TV with a different and new theme. Pirzada has had stints with Pakistan Television as Director World Affairs, Waqt, Express News and ARY.
