Malick set to join Dunya

ISLAMABAD: The game of musical chairs in Pakistan media has picked up again with news now in that Muhammad Malick, the Resident Editor of The News in Islamabad is set to join the Dunya Group.

JournalismPakistan.com had reported almost a year ago that Malick had had meetings with the management of the group that runs Dunya TV and plans to bring out a newspaper in Urdu and one in English.

Malick will be joining in as an anchor and group editor publications-English and will be responsible for Dunya Today newspaper that could be out early next year.

On the other hand the management has been preparing to launch their Urdu newspaper Roznama Dunya in August but that plan has now been delayed for some months.

Malick has been with The News since April 2009.
