ISLAMABAD - Less than a month after announcing 40 percent cut in staff wages, the Dawn management has decided to exempt those drawing monthly salaries of up to Rs50,000.
An insider tells JournalismPakistan.com that more than 100 employees stand to benefit from the decision.
In a circular issued on Friday, the management said: “Following the discussions and meetings with the CBA, as a special case, the Management is pleased to announce that all employees drawing Gross Salary plus PAP equivalent to Rs50,000/- or less shall be, for the time being, exempted from the deduction of PAP…”
