BANNU – Police and the security forces have arrested Gohar Wazir, a reporter with Khyber News after he interviewed MNA Mohsin Dawar, and covered a protest by Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) the other day.

Reports said that he was shifted to an unknown location.

Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), and Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) have called for his immediate release.

Press freedom watchdog Freedom Network has condemned the arrest.
