KARACHI: A journalist was killed and three other reporters injured Sunday when gunmen opened fire on a Pakistan Peoples Party public meeting in Sindh’s Kahirpur district.
Six PPP activists were also killed in the incident which occurred in Sadoro Janwari Village. The gunmen managed to flee.
The reporter was identified as Mushtaque Khand who worked for Dharti TV while one of injured journalists - Mukhtiar Phulpoto was reported to be in a serious condition.
Syeda Nafeesa Shah, a PPP lawmaker and daughter of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah were scheduled to address the rally.
