KARACHI—Mir Javed-ur-Rahman, the chairman and publisher of Jang Group, died here on Tuesday after a battle with lung cancer.

He was the eldest son of the founder and editor of Jang Group, late Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman, and brother of Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman, the owner of Jang-Geo Group.

Javed was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Karachi.
