Capital TV reporter injured in alleged attack by PML-N MPA and accomplices
Recently, Capital TV reporter Iftikhar Bhatti was assaulted by armed men in Pakpattan in an attack linked to his investigative reports. The local press community has condemned the violence and demanded justice.

LAHORE – Iftikhar Bhatti, a reporter with Capital TV in Pakpattan was beaten up and injured in an attack allegedly spearheaded by PML-N MPA Mian Naveed and his accomplices.

According to reports, the attack was the result of Bhatti’s stories on corruption. His house was attacked by armed men who also fired aerial shots and beat him up before fleeing.

Police arrested one perpetrator but have yet to register an FIR.

The Lahore and Pakpattan Press Clubs have condemned the incident and called for immediate arrest of the assailants.
