IHC reserves decision on Dr. Shahid Masood's post-arrest bail
The Islamabad High Court is set to adjudicate on the post-arrest bail application of Dr. Shahid Masood, former PTV chairman. Masood has been imprisoned since late November over allegations of fraud involving a fake company.

ISLAMABAD - Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court on Thursday reserved decision on the post-arrest bail of ex-chairman of Pakistan Television (PTV) Dr. Shahid Masood.

Masood is behind bars in an alleged embezzlement case since late November.

He was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after the Islamabad High Court dismissed his pre-arrest bail on November 23.

It is alleged that he entered into a contract with a fake company for earning media rights from the Pakistan Cricket Board. As a result of this, PTV reportedly suffered financial loss.

Masood is a political analyst and president of Airwaves Media Group that runs NewsOne Television, TVOne, Waseeb, and RadioOne.
