Group executive editor Daily Pakistan Qudratullah Chaudhry passes away

LAHORE—Group executive editor of Daily Pakistan Qudratullah Chaudhry has passed away after contracting COVID-19.

He was in journalism for more than three decades. Chaudhry also held editor posts in respected national newspapers, including Jang, Nawa-e-Waqt, Din, Mashriq, and Pakistan.

He fought for journalists' rights on the platforms of Lahore Press Club, Punjab Union of Journalists, and Jang Workers' Union.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise. He said that he was saddened to hear the news of Qudratullah Chaudhry's death, and a bright chapter of journalism in Pakistan had ended.
