Grenade attack on Dunya News Faisalabad bureau, three injured
A grenade explosion at Dunya News bureau in Faisalabad left three employees injured. The attackers, claiming to be from ISIS, threatened further violence.

ISLAMABAD: Terrorists attacked Dunya News bureau office in Faisalabad Friday hurling a hand grenade that injured three employees.

According to Dunyanews.tv the attackers claiming to be from ISIS Daulat Islamia Khurasan) left pamphlets at the scene that warned of more attacks against "tyrannical rulers, their forces and their facilitators (media etc)."

The pamphlet read: “Daulat Islamia Khurasan accepts the responsibility for the attack on Dunya News. We will continue to attack tyrannical rulers, their forces and their facilitators (media etc)”. It said Ahlus-Sunnah people should stay away from these targets.

Glass windows of the offices were shattered and cars parked nearby were damaged.

Rana Azeem, President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) condemned the attack and announced the journalist community across the country will protest against this heinous act. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has demanded an inquiry report from the relevant authorities and directed police to arrest the culprits within 24 hours.
