ISLAMABAD: The government wants to expand the broadcasting network of Pakistan Television across the country, especially in Balochistan, with help of civil society.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid informed the Senate Friday that PTV has established its boosters in districts Kohlu and Zhob, while district Pishin was being covered by PTV booster located at Ghaziabad.
The News reported that he also sought cooperation of elders, chieftains of Balochistan and law enforcement agencies in conducting technical surveys and installing boosters in different areas of Balochistan.
The minister said that volatile situation of law and order in the province was also hampering the government’s efforts to enhance PTV network.
