ISLAMABAD: The subscribers of NayaTel will not be able to access channels like Fox News, Sky News, Star Movies, National Geographic and Star channels on their televisions from January 1. NayaTel is a Fiber To The Home (FTTH) service provider based in Islamabad. A sales representative of the company told JournalismPakistan.com the channels have announced to wrap up their operations in Pakistan. “We aren't blocking transmission of these channels rather they are winding up their operations in Pakistan,” he said. He, however, said the subscribers would be able to access some High Definition channels on their screens if they install an HD box along with the fiber line. It is not clear yet if the channels will be available on cable and dish.
