ISLAMABAD—After a decade-long hiatus from hosting, Absar Alam has made a return to the media industry with his new show "Meray Sawal Absar Alam Kay Sath" on Samaa TV.
Alam, who served as the head of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) from November 2015 to December 2017, had stepped away from journalism to take up the regulatory role.
Alam had been making appearances as an analyst on Ayesha Baksh's show "Straight Talk" on Samaa TV, but this marks his full-fledged return to hosting a program. As he went on air, Alam addressed his audience, stating that he is in the twilight of his journalism career and emphasized that his show would not indulge in sensationalism, chase ratings, or push any particular agenda.
The show promises to bring forth insightful and balanced discussions, reflecting Alam's vast experience and commitment to ethical journalism.
