ISLAMABAD — Reacting to a tweet by Director General ISPR Maj. Gen Asif Ghafoor regarding a news item about joint border patrols by Pakistani and Iranian forces, Zaffar Abbas, editor of Dawn, promised to carry out a correction “in light of your statement.”
Gen. Ghafoor had termed the Dawn news item regarding joint patrols as “factually incorrect.”
However, Abbas pointed out that the confusion “was caused by the official news agency APP, as the picture caption said ‘joint patrolling’.” He added that Radio Pakistan also tweeted the same.
