Committee formed to investigate PMLN media cell

ISLAMABAD—The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has set up a committee to investigate the disclosures made by PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz about media advertisements.

The inquiry committee would report the alleged irregularities in the advertisements distributed to the media during the PML-N regime.

Further, it will investigate favors given to some blue-eyed journalists and various media groups by the regime.

The media cell headed by Maryam reportedly spent over Rs9.62 billion from the national exchequer.
