ARY boss buys Karachi team in Pakistan Super League

KARACHI: ARY Network President and CEO Salman Iqbal has bought the Karachi team in the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).

ARY News reported Thursday that an auction was held in Lahore and the bid for the Karachi team was the highest made for any franchise, making it the most expensive in the PSL. Many big groups participated in the bidding but ARY’s bid emerged successful. ARY quoted Iqbal as saying the purchase of the Karachi team was proof of ARY’s commitment to the betterment of cricket and that it had been doing this in the past as well.
