The AIPS will hold a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro to recognize journalists who have covered 10 or more Olympic Games. Honorees will receive a limited edition Olympic Torch replica.

LAUSANNE - The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) said Wednesday it will continue its Olympic tradition of honoring journalists who have covered 10 or more Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August this year.

AIPS said on its website it will organize a special ceremony celebrating Olympic journalism, where journalists with more than 10 Olympic Games will be presented with a limited edition Rio 2016 Olympic Torch replica by Chinese merchandising company and AIPS partner, Honav.

AIPS said it was the last call for members of the media who have covered 10 or more Summer and Winter Olympic Games, and who will be in Rio. "Such members of the media are requested to contact AIPS as soon as possible, and share the names and contact details of any colleagues that will be in Rio and have themselves covered more than 10 Games."

Worldwide AIPS Gold Partner Honav is the official licensee for Olympic products at the IOC's Olympic Museum in Lausanne and the official supplier for the licensed Rio 2016 pins.
