Abb Takk hires key Aaj man
Abb Takk Television has successfully attracted Masoom Rizvi from Aaj TV to enhance its news capabilities. Rizvi's move comes as Abb Takk intensifies its efforts to compete in a rapidly growing market.

ISLAMABAD: Abb Takk Television has hired the experienced Masoom Rizvi, dealing a blow to Aaj TV where he was Controller News.

 

Considered to be the engine of Aaj newsroom, Rizvi’s departure has left a big vacuum, a source tells JournalismPakistan.com.

 

Rizvi comes in as Controller Input at the new channel that was launched in April.

 

Abb Takk belongs to Apna Television, a Punjabi-language channel owned by Fahad Hussain Shah who also runs Apna Entertainment and Kook Television.

 

To compete in a growing market, Abb Takk recently invested Rs1b in new programing and hired several prominent people, among them talk show host Jasmeen Manzoor, Ali Haider and Mathira.
