Sindh bans helicams
The Sindh government has imposed a ban on drone cameras for an indefinite period over security concerns. This move precedes a political gathering in Karachi by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party.
ISLAMABAD: Sindh government has imposed ban on use of drone cameras for an indefinite period because of security reasons.
Interior ministry of Sindh issued an official notification banning use of the drone cameras for coverage of any event by television news channels.
The ministry said that it has restricted use of the helicams in the province on the directives of the federal interior ministry.
Sindh government also said that there are chances of drone cameras to be used for terrorist activities.
The ban comes ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf political gathering in Karachi. Imran Khan is set to address a political meeting in the city before the NA-246 by-election.
