Pakistani cameraman lands Rory Peck Award
Haider Ali, a freelance cameraman from Pakistan, received the Rory Peck Award 2015 in London. He was honored for his documentary showcasing the plight of abused young boys in Pakistan.

Pakistani freelance cameraman Haider Ali was awarded the Rory Peck Award 2015 in a ceremony in London Wednesday.

According to http://www.tvbeurope.com, Ali won for Pakistan’s Hidden Shame which reveals how tens of thousands of vulnerable young boys across Pakistan have become the victims of paedophile predators, many of them bus and truck drivers who have openly admitted to sex with the boys. The Rory Peck Awards, now in its twentieth year, honor the work of freelance cameramen and camerawomen in news and current affairs. The night’s four awards were presented to freelancers from northern Iraq, Pakistan and Syria.
