PFUJ prepares to host Women Journalists Convention in Lahore
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists is organizing a Women Journalists Convention in Lahore on May 2. The event will include various activities addressing women's issues in journalism.

ISLAMABAD: To mark the World Press Freedom Day, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) is preparing to organize a Women Journalists Convention in Lahore.

 

The convention on May 2 will have representation of women journalists from all over the country. The following day (May 3), the participants will attend a rally in connection with the Press Freedom Day and will present a declaration of demands.

 

The agenda of the convention includes experience sharing by women journalists from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh besides speeches by prominent human rights activists and journalists.

 

The event themed 'Rights, Respect, Responsibilities' will also see a theatrical performance by Interactive Resource Centre on issues faced by women journalists.
