BAHAWALPUR: A District and Sessions Judge has summoned the Multan chief of a private television channel on March 27, media reports said.
Petitioner Muhammad Ajmal submitted that a local reporter representing the channel allegedly attempted to blackmail him by demanding Rs20,000.
As evidence, the petitioner produced a tape recording in which the respondent can be heard saying he had been given a target of collecting Rs2 million from Bahawalpur by his superiors.
Judge Muhammad Rashid Qamar also ordered the respondent to produce his FA degree at the next hearing.
