ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Khairpur Tuesday barred Jang-Geo Group owner, Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman from selling his property until a verdict is announced in a blasphemy case against him.
According to details, the court had earlier sought the details of the property of all the accused in a blasphemy case, which were duly submitted today by the Deputy Commissioner South Karachi, ARY News reported.
The court was informed that the Jang-Geo Group owner and his brother own property in district South of Karachi. The ‘Mukhtiar e Kaar’ Araam Bagh Karachi said in a letter that Mir Shakil owns 50 percent share of the property.
The court barred Mir Shakil from selling his share of the property and ordered that it would remain under court custody until a verdict is announced in the case.
The court was also informed that other accused in the case namely Shaista Lodhi, Veena Malik, Asad Bashir Khattak, Ansar Abbasi and Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain have no property registered in their names in district South of Karachi.
