Bukhar Shah re-elected president of Peshawar Press Club
Syed Bukhar Shah Bacha has been re-elected as president of the Peshawar Press Club. The elections saw several members elected to key positions within the club.

PESHAWAR: Syed Bukhar Shah Bacha (pictured), representing the Progressive Group was re-elected president of Peshawar Press Club for a second term in elections held Wednesday.

Securing 174 votes, he edged out Arshad Aziz Malik who got 169. Alamgir Khan of Democratic Group was elected the secretary. He polled 179 votes as against 155 obtained by his rival Muhammad Naeem. Ammad Waheed became the club's vice president, getting 138 votes and beating Bilal Ahmed who managed 131.

Ali Hazrat Bacha (269 votes) got elected as the finance secretary. He defeated Jehanzeb Siddiq. Yasir Hussain with 165 votes won the slot of joint secretary beating his opponent Muhammad Daud (143).

Members of the governing body elected were: Anila Shaheen, Rizwan Sheikh, Saifullah, Sameen Jan, Nasir Hussain, Shakil Farman Ali, Jamil Mohmand, Shahid Hameed, Nisar Mahmood and Asif Nisar Ghayassi.
