AMRITSAR - Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, Sunday admonished an Indian official who attempted to stop Pakistani journalists from speaking to him.
"No one can stop me from speaking to these people," Basit scolded the official. "These are Pakistani journalists and these are my people. No one can stop me from speaking to them," he said.
Embarrassed, the Indian official backed off and apologized a couple of times to the high commissioner. Basit is in Amritsar for the Heart of Asia conference. - INP
