Aaj TV directed to apologize for airing indecent content in headlines
Aaj Television has been directed by PEMRA to issue an apology for broadcasting indecent content in its headlines. The violation of the Electronic Media Code of Conduct led to the issuance of a show-cause notice.

ISLAMABAD – Electronic media watchdog PEMRA Saturday directed Aaj Television to air an apology for showing indecent content in its news headlines.

The objectionable content was telecast on April 13. This prompted the regulator to issue a show-cause notice.

PEMRA heard the channel’s representative and examined their written response to the notice.

The news organization was found to have violated several clauses of the Electronic Media (Programs and Advertisements) Code of Conduct 2015.

Aaj is required to apologize to viewers on Monday at 12:00 noon. It was also warned to be vigilant while airing scenes of English movies.
