Honors for The News journalist, two others
Arshad Dogar from The News has been awarded the 2014 Alfred Friendly Press Fellowship. Alongside him, Zahid Gishkori and Kiran Nazish were also selected.

ISLAMABAD: Arshad Dogar (pictured) of The News has won the 2014 Alfred Friendly Press Fellowship that brings journalists from South Asia and Middle East to work in top American newsrooms.

Others selected from Pakistan for the 2014 fellowship are Zahid Gishkori of The Express Tribune and Kiran Nazish, a free-lance journalist.

The Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships (AFPF) and the Daniel Pearl Foundation established this fellowship in 2002 and has benefitted a number of Pakistani journalists.
