BOL News hires seasoned journalist Ghulam Abbas Shah
Ghulam Abbas Shah has joined BOL News Television as Senior News Manager, enhancing the channel's leadership team. He has a distinguished background in journalism and previously worked with India TV and News One.
KARACHI: BOL News Television has hired seasoned journalist Ghulam Abbas Shah as Senior News Manager.
Abbas was previously the Pakistan Bureau Chief of India TV. He has also worked with News One Television as Controller News where he hosted many live transmissions and also conducted a Prime Time show.
He started his career in 1999 and is widely respected among television journalists for his professional skills and friendly attitude with co-workers. He also contributed to Express News Karachi for some months.
BOL, which is yet to go on air, had earlier hired veteran journalist Altaf Hussain as Associate Vice President in March. The channel's news team is being led by Senior Executive Vice President Nasir Baig Chughtai. Insiders say Chughtai is working on some innovative ideas with his team as the channel nears launch.
