Journalist Bayazid Khan abducted in Quetta?
Bayazid Khan Kharoti, a journalist, was abducted in Quetta under unclear circumstances, leading to calls for his immediate release. His social media presence raises awareness of governance issues in Balochistan.

QUETTA—Unknown individuals reportedly abducted journalist Bayazid Khan Kharoti in Quetta on Wednesday, promoting calls for his immediate recovery.

However, some reports said he was picked up by Levies for his negative propaganda against them, and handed over to police.

The journalist has presence on social media and runs a Facebook page named Choti Chiria, which has over 18,000 followers. The page highlights social and governance injustices in Balochistan province.

On October 23, Geo News reporter Ali Imran Syed, went missing in Karachi. He was found 22 hours later. Similarly, journalist Matiullah Jan was abducted in Islamabad on July 21 and returned home after a 12-hour ordeal.
