Armed men barge into Karachi Press Club
A group of armed men entered the Karachi Press Club, harassing journalists and filming the premises. Club officials reported the incident to police authorities, leading to an inquiry.

KARACHI – About a dozen armed men in plain clothes barged into the Karachi Press Club Thursday night harassing journalists, and making videos and taking pictures of the premises.

When questioned by the press club officials, the assailants could not come up with any answer, and soon fled.

Reports said they came in about half a dozen double cabin vehicles, Land Cruisers and Pardos and were accompanied by a police mobile van.

The club officials informed the additional Inspector General of Police, Karachi. He assured initiating an immediate inquiry into the incident.

Ahmed Khan Malik, President of Karachi Press Club, and Secretary-General Maqsood Yousufi have called on the governor and chief minister Sindh to have the incident probed and take immediate action against the perpetrators.
