KARACHI—Athar Mateen, a senior producer associated with Samaa TV, was shot dead Friday morning in North Nazimabad, Karachi.

According to Samaa TV's Chief Crime Reporter Ahmar Rehman Khan, Mateen was killed near the Five Star Chowrangi during a robbery.
