Imtiaz Alam calls for unity to fight censorship

ISLAMABAD – Veteran journalist and analyst Imtiaz Alam has appealed to all journalists to forget their differences to fight illegal censorship and non-payment of salaries to journalists.

In an Urdu tweet, he said that it is time to start a struggle for the rights of the journalists. One of the agenda will be to oppose the downsizing by the media houses along with the perennial issue of journalists not getting their salaries on time.

Alam said the friends of South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) would be part of the struggle for journalists’ rights.
