Former Express Tribune reporter Zeeshan Niazi dies

ISLAMABAD – Zeeshan Niazi, a young journalist associated with the Chinese Xinhua news agency, died Tuesday of pollen allergy in Islamabad.

Niazi, who previously worked with The Express Tribune as a reporter, was the husband of Khyber TV journalist Sumera Khan. He also had stints with Geo and APP, besides other media organizations.

Niazi’s father Ijaz Ahmed Niazi was a former General Manager at PTV and one of his brothers is Non-Linear Editor with APP’s video service.

His funeral prayers were to be held in Hayatabad, Peshawar at 2:00 pm on Tuesday.
