ISLAMABAD: Farooq Faisal Khan, the Islamabad Resident Editor of Urdu Daily Nai Baat has got promotion as Executive Editor of the newspaper.
A former editor of Daily Express, Farooq will have the responsibility of managing the paper’s stations in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.
Farooq made the announcement himself through a Facebook post on Thursday. A string of greetings from his friends soon poured in.
Nai Baat, less than a year old, first rolled off the press in November 2011. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman heads the paper as its chief editor.
Farooq is also the president of National Press Club, Islamabad.
