Karzai orders 'full investigation' into shooting of AP journalists
President Hamid Karzai has expressed grief over the shooting of two journalists in eastern Afghanistan. One journalist was killed while another was injured in the incident.

KABUL: Afghan President Hamid Karzai is reported to have ordered “a full investigation” into the shooting of two Associated Press (AP) journalists in eastern Afghanistan Friday.

Media reports quoting a statement from the presidential palace said “Karzai was grieved” by the incident. A man dressed as a policeman shot the two foreign journalists in a remote town in Khost province. German war photographer Anja Niedringhaus was killed while Canadian journalist Kathy Gannon was injured.
