Hamid Mir receives international award in Holland
Hamid Mir, a prominent journalist, received the 'Most Resilient Journalist Award' in The Hague, Holland. He dedicated the award to fellow journalists and the people of Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD - Senior journalist and Geo News presenter Hamid Mir Wednesday was presented the 'Most Resilient Journalist Award' by the International Free Press.

Geo reported the award ceremony took place in The Hague, Holland. Mir dedicated his award to journalists giving sacrifices in the line of duty and also to people of Pakistan whose bravery, support and resilience "became a source for my resilience."

He said he survived assassination attempts on his life but did not want to leave Pakistan as the people were standing by him.

A journalist from Yemen and another from Colombia were nominated alongside Mir.

The award is given to journalists who continue to unearth truth in the face of danger and threats.
